Product Description
Grayleaf or Teabush, Melochia tomentosa, is a plant primarily found in south Florida, but it is also vouchered from a Hillsborough County preserve.This is shrub that will reach the 12 to 14 foot height range without pruning, but can be maintained much smaller. It has a soft small gray-green leaf on branches that have a lightly pendulous lilt. The small pink flowers are produced in profusion throughout warm weather and is an intense magnet for bees. Grayleaf is a very ornamental plant that stands out as a contrast against other more rigid plants. Plant in full sun and in well drained average to moist condtions and enjoy a delightful plant that captures the attention of anyone that sees it.
