Product Description

Fringe Tree (Chionanthus virginicus), aka 'Old Man Tree', a cold hardy bushy tree reaches 15-20 feet, featuring dark-green foliage and pale-gray trunk with bands of white. This is a deciduous tree that produces drooping clusters of small, flossy, fragrant white blossoms in spring. The female plants produce bluish-black fruit that songbirds birds love. Fringe Tree can be slow developing, but is a showy flowering small native tree that should be planted more than it is.
