Hearts A Bustin

A deciduous shrub that reaches 5-7 ft high and 2-3 ft wide. Naturally found in the understory of wet hammocks and floodplains so it requires moist to average soils and shade to part shade. It is named for the red fruit that burst open to revel the orange-red seeds. Use as an understory plant in moist gardens.
