Cinnamon Bark

Wild Cinnamon Bark, Canella winterana, is a shrubby tree up to 18 feet in height or more and usually upright in shape. Its fragrant, glossy, rich deep green leaves have a natural elegance, making it suitable as an accent tree or large border plant in any landscape. The red flowers in the summer are a good source of nectar and the red berries are a ornamental feature as well as attractive to birds. This is a coastal, south Florida small tree that is tolerant of salt air, drained, dry soil and is a simply beautiful ornamental native.
