Dwarf Saltbush

Dwarf Saltbush, Baccharis dioca is a fast-growing, medium-bushy accent shrub. The mature height is 6′ or less and does well as a buffer planting. It likes full sun and moist to dry well-drained soil and can tolerate moderate amounts of salt wind. It does not tolerate salty floods or brackish water. Once established, it is drought tolerant. Its fragrant, semi-showy yellow flowers bloom in the fall. Fruit masses, which can also be showy, provide food and cover for wildlife.
