Hibiscus

Tropical Hibiscus, Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, is a flowering shrub that comes in many colors and varieties. They are typically used as hedge plants or specimen shrubs, and can grow anywhere from 6' to 18' tall. They are very easily pruned, though potential blooms should be taken into account when doing so. They are moderately drough tolerant once established, and prefer full to part sun. They are adaptable to poor, well-drained soils, though amendments or fertilization may be recommended.
